Vertical Change is modern software for organizations working with people, generally as service providers. It enables organizations to manage clients, track services and activities, and conduct surveys to measure outcomes for individuals and programs. It is also a productivity and performance management application, providing task management, tools for communication and sharing, and flexible data management.

Why would I want to use it?

Vertical Change takes a new approach to data management. It is easier to use, and requires very little upfront work or investment to get started. Every organization has slightly different requirements about what data to collect and VerticalChange accommodates these differences elegantly.

What are the system requirements?

We’ve built VerticalChange to run on virtually any computer or mobile device with an internet connection and and any modern browser including Google Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer (7 or later), or Firefox.

VerticalChange is provided as a Software as a Service (SasS) product. It is designed to be simple and easy to use. It does not require your organization to have any IT capacity. Technical support is included for all users.

How much does it cost?

VerticalChange was built to simplify the work of service providers, and that extends to pricing. We charge a simple per user per month fee of $75 per user per month. There are no fees for setup or termination. All accounts have access to telephone and online support, and maintenance, updates, hosting and backups are all included.

Does my data belong to me?

Yes. All the data you enter into VerticalChange is owned by your organization. We provide tools for export, and can help you to take your data with you if you ever need to.

Can I export my data?

Yes. VerticalChange was built to unlock the power of your data. You can export all of the data you collect with ease, as .csv files. These can be used for backup, reporting, or analysis and use in other applications.

Can I import data?

How do I know my data is safe and the application secure?

VerticalChange has multiple layers of security. These include encryption when the data is in transit (secure connections), and at rest (secure data centers), as well as redundant backups and third party security authentication.

Secure connections - 256 bit extended-validation SSL security certificate.

Secure data centers - We use Amazon Web Services. Learn more about Amazon's security practices.

Redundant backups - We regularly back up your data and store it in secure geographically diverse locations.

Third-party authentication - VerticalChange authenticity and security is validated by a trusted authority that provides third party verification for websites around the world.

How do you ensure the privacy of my client records?

VerticalChange uses best practices for application and data access security. The application has multiple layers of security to prevent access, and protect user accounts. And audit logs track all activity, so that you are able to ensure internal policies are being followed for data access.

Is there ever server downtime when I won't be able to access my data?

Our application is built to ensure high availability, with access to your account and data at all times. Although there is no way to guarantee an application will never go down, we have engineered VerticalChange to run redundantly in multiple isolated data centers for optimum reliability. We utilize Amazon Web Services, the premier cloud computing provider, with a Service Level Agreement of 99.5%.

From time to time we may schedule brief outages during off peak times (generally in the middle of the night) for updates - these will be rare and we will provide notification in advance.

Can the system expand as my service delivery grows?

Yes, the application is built to scale effortlessly and will function equally well whether your organization has 5 or 500 users. Add as many users, and as much data as you need and VerticalChange will seamlessly accommodate the growth of your organization.

Is it easy for staff to use?

Yes. Ease of use is a top priority. We’ve built VerticalChange in collaboration with real users, and want to consistenlty improve the user experience. We believe that the more usable and helpful the application is, the more happy users we'll have. We value feedback so if you ever have suggestion on how to make things easier please let us know!

How often are new features released?

VerticalChange is built using an agile development methodology. Our software development process values continuous improvement and responsiveness to user feedback. We are consistently working with our users to identify useful feature developments that benefit the overall product and improves usability.

Can we submit suggestions for changes or improvements?

Feedback is one of our highest priorities, and an essential part of our ongoing product development process. We want to hear from you with questions, comments, or suggestions.

How much data storage will we have?

Every user license includes 3 gigabytes of storage. Overall storage is split between an organization, not calculated based on individual user usage. For example a 10 user account will include 30 gigabytes of storage. Additional storage is added with every new user account.
